Golden Rain Tree

One of the finest trees for late season color. Golden Rain Tree is a fast growing shade tree that eventually reaches 20-30 feet in height. Each fall it produces clusters of yellow flowers and then follows up with pink or red lantern-shaped seed pods. They perform well in almost any soil condition and prefer full sun.

The Golden Rain tree is an excellent tree and unrivaled for late yellow flowers. Golden Rain trees are also known as Chinese Flame trees. It is one of the very few yellow flowering trees. The flower clusters are 12 to 15” long and literally cover the tree in July.  The flowers are bright yellow with a red center.

This deciduous tree is excellent as a small lawn tree, or for shading a patio.  Golden Rain trees display a beautiful show of fall color with 2 inch golden seed pods against a dark green-leafed background.  The seed pods make a very interesting sight.  The seed pods look like Hershey Kisses with a tuft of hair at the top.

These trees are about 2-3 feet tall. Trees will be shipped bare root with moist material around their roots.
